Strattera causing depression

I was diagnosed with ADHD last week, and have been on Strattera for 4 days now. The first 2 days i was told to take 40mg, and then yesterday i was advised to up my dosage to 80mg.
Although in the past i have had problems with depression, it was only situational depression over my mothers death, and over the years the problems have ceased. The problem is, yesterday maybe 3 or 4 hours after i took my Strattera I just broke down. I was faced with a problem (which i work for a news station, so this happens daily, not normally a problem) and i literally cried for two hours. This is not normal by any means.
I don't know whether or not i should continue on Strattera to see if the benefits outweigh the risks, or if the depression subsides, or what. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do or any similar experiences with Strattera? My doctors office is closed as it's Saturday, so i wont be able to call her until Monday. Any and all help would be great!
I have been on Strattera now for 2 weeks and I completely understand what you are feeling.  The first couple of days I was on it, I cried over everything, which is not like me.  I have got passed the crying now, but still have an overwhelming feeling of depression.  I have lost my motivation and have moments of anxiety about situations I shouldn't be worried about.  I feel like my fuse is getting shorter everyday with little things.  I was given this medication to help me focus better as I am in college and need every bit of concentration I can get; however, I do not feel as all the side affects are worth it.
