I have had this little brown speck on my eye. I can see it when im looking at anything. The brown speck is driving me crazy because my eyes try to follow it but it's on my eye so it moves when my eye moves and it's giving me a headache. I've had this speck for like 9 hours, it just won't go away. I even slept for a good 5 hours, nothing. It doesn't hurt my eye, nor does it cost discomfort. It's just on my eye and I can see it everywhere.
Sounds to me like something called a 'floater.'
They're old cells that broke away from wherever they were. It shouldn't be serious.. If it breaks into multiple spots, or more appear over time, you can go see a professional.. But for now it should be fine.
We studied this in anatomy class. It sounds like a floater and what that is is when something like old eye matter can break off of your inner eye and it can cast a shadow on your retina causing a dark spot. It's not serious now, but when you get older it can lead to cataracts which are a pain!
